(International Flavors & Fragrances., an American-based company, announced the opening of a new plant and research facility in China on October 8. The Natural products Research Institute (Natural Product Research lab), located in Nanjing Life Science and Technology Innovation Park, opened its operations on Tuesday, following the opening of the flavor and spice factory in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, on the 9th. The flavor plant is IFF's second plant in China. IFF's flavor and spice manufacturing plant in Guangzhou is under construction. The Natural products Institute is IFF's first overseas institute outside the United States.
"China is one of the most important countries in our long-term strategy, and the operation of new factories and research institutes has added a lot of strength to our efforts to achieve growth in China," said Andreas Fibig, chairman and chief executive of IFF.
